For my senior capstone at UCLA, I am creating the first part to an original visual novel titled "The Chambers of the Heart." Everything from concept creation, writing, coding, and illustration I am doing on my own. The backgrounds have a strong color filter to help distinguish the background elements from the characters when playing the game.
Project Synopsis:
Evangeline is recent magical medical graduate working as an apprentice at a hospital. She is learning how to cure broken hearts by traveling through the memories that are physically stored in patients’ hearts. Evangeline’s first patient turns out to be her estranged brother, Nicholas, who left their family when she was a toddler. Evangeline has heard little about Nicholas before, but now she must confront her family’s history and learn about her brother who has been hidden from her most of her life.
